City of Whittlesea - www.whittlesea.vic.gov.au
The City of Whittlesea is one of Melbourne’s largest municipalities and is the proud home to a fast-growing and diverse community. Located in the north of Melbourne, with a population of 229,396, our municipality spans approximately 490 square kilometres with a mix of established suburbs, growth areas and rural communities. Full of rich cultural diversity, we have the third largest Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population in metropolitan Melbourne and almost half of our residents speak a language other than English at home. Our community vision is A place for all and guides all of Council’s work in creating connected communities, liveable neighbourhoods, a strong local economy and a sustainable environment.
The City of Whittlesea is thrilled to be part of the Thriving Communities Partnership tackling vulnerability and hardship in the community.
